Bill Doyle: Treating Cancer with Electric Fields to Improve QOL

Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation are the best-known methods for treating cancer. At TEDMED, Bill Doyle presents a new approach, called Tumor Treating Fields, which uses electric fields to interrupt cancer cell division. TMF Takes Part in One Mind Conference-Watch Recap

The Tug McGraw Foundation was honored to sponsor and take part in One Mind's for Research 1st Annual Meeting of the One Mind for Research Campaign: Curing Brain Disease on May 23-25, 2012 at the University of California, Los Angeles, firmly establishing itself as a leader in brain research, anti-stigma advocacy and mental health policy.

The conference was welcomed by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and UCLA Chancellor Gene Block and featured over 350 of the world’s leading scientists and researchers in a discussion of how to accelerate the next generation of innovative neuroscience discoveries.

Results Are In! Team Delta Scores As Does TMF!

June 7, 2012, Nashville TN – The Tug McGraw Foundation featured a star-studded lineup for its inaugural “Celebrity Sporting Clay Shootout”, presented by DeltaSports.TV, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Nashville Gun Club in Nashville, Tennessee. The event raised over $65,000 with proceeds benefiting the Tug McGraw Foundation and its efforts to improve the lives of military service members who have been affected by Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

June's Guest Blogger-Real Warriors

The Real Warriors Campaign is a multimedia public awareness initiative designed to encourage help-seeking behavior among service members, veterans and military families coping with invisible wounds. Sponsored by the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE), the campaign is an integral part of the Defense Department’s overall effort to encourage warriors and families to seek appropriate care and support for psychological health concerns. Stars Show Up for A Great Cause


Tim McGraw Tug McGraw Celebrity Shootout


NASHVILLE, Tenn. -Stars descended on the Nashville Gun Club Tuesday for the Tug McGraw Foundation's inaugural celebrity shootout.


Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit military service members affected by Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).


Retired Staff Sgt. Allen Hill was critically injured in Iraq in November 2007.

While his physical injuries have healed, he still deals with the invisible injuries of PTSD and TBI.

Allen has been in and out of numerous hospitals and residential PTSD treatment programs, most recently The Pathway Home in Yountville, California, where he, along with his service dog, Frankie, finally learned how to better manage his PTSD.  Click here, to read and watch full story and coverage.

TMF Receives Award from Former Members of Congress

On March 6th, 2012, TMF Received the very first "Civic Statesmanship Award" from Former Members of Congress.
